Tom Kielich founded Oak Ridge Advisory LLC after years of serving as a financial executive across multiple organizations — working simultaneously as a fractional CFO, controller, and bookkeeper for companies at different stages of growth. What he found, again and again, was the same gap: businesses that needed senior-level financial leadership but weren't in a position to hire it full-time.

That insight became the foundation of Oak Ridge Advisory. The firm exists to give growing businesses access to the kind of financial expertise that larger companies take for granted — accurate books, reliable reporting, and strategic financial guidance — delivered on a flexible, right-sized basis.

Most growing businesses need CFO-level thinking. They just don't need it forty hours a week. That's the problem Oak Ridge Advisory was built to solve.

Tom's experience spans the full range of financial operations: from untangling years of inconsistent or incomplete records and rebuilding them into clean, audit-ready financials, through ongoing bookkeeping and month-end close, all the way up to executive-level work — budgeting, cash flow forecasting, investor reporting, and board-level financial presentation. He has served clients across a range of industries in the NYC metro area and remotely nationwide.

Based in northern New Jersey and active in the Morris County business community, Tom built Oak Ridge on a simple conviction: the businesses that most need financial expertise are rarely the ones that can afford a full-time hire. Oak Ridge bridges that gap — with the credibility of an in-house executive and the flexibility of a trusted outside partner.

How We Work

Principles that guide every engagement

These aren't marketing language — they're the commitments that shape how Tom approaches every client relationship.

01
Trust over transaction

Your finances are among the most sensitive aspects of your business. Oak Ridge treats every engagement as a long-term partnership built on discretion, consistency, and candor — not a one-time project.

02
Clarity, not complexity

Good financial work makes things simpler. Tom's job is to cut through the noise — clean records, readable reports, and honest answers — so you can make decisions with confidence.

03
Right-sized for your stage

A startup doesn't need the same financial infrastructure as a $50M company. Oak Ridge scales with you — starting where you are and building what your business actually needs.

Why Oak Ridge

Senior expertise,
without the overhead

Most small and mid-sized businesses face an impossible choice: hire a full-time CFO or controller they can't yet afford, or go without the financial leadership they need. Large firms charge large-firm rates — and often staff your account with junior talent anyway.

Oak Ridge Advisory was designed to be different. You work directly with Tom — a seasoned financial executive — on every engagement. No hand-offs to junior staff, no inflated overhead, no account managers in between. Just direct, experienced financial leadership that fits your business and your budget.

For businesses in the NYC metro area and beyond, that combination of executive-grade expertise and flexible, fractional delivery is rare. It's what Oak Ridge was built to provide.
